< Update on the Supply of Olympus Imaging Products Following the Kumamoto Earthquakes >

Olympus Corporation continues to extend its deepest sympathies to those affected by the earthquakes that occurred on April 14, 2016 in the Kumamoto region of southern Japan.

Whilst Olympus Corporation has not suffered any damages to its infrastructure or personnel due to the earthquakes, several component suppliers for Olympus' consumer products - including interchangeable lens digital cameras, interchangeable lenses, and compact digital cameras, have however been adversely impacted. It is anticipated that the disruption to supply chain will impact on the production and sales of Olympus imaging products.

We sincerely apologises to our customers, business partners and consumers for any inconvenience that will be caused by anticipated supply issues going forward.

Olympus will continue to monitor this situation and will provide updates when new information become available.
